Historical facts

The first model was made in the form of a two-seater racing car. This model was named Mercedes in honour of the daughter of one of the Company’s co-owners — an Austrian businessman, diplomat and enthusiastic race-driver called Emile Ellinek.

Mercedes-Benz 770 production started in 1938–1939. The model was intended for the «Third Reich» bosses.

Mercedes-Benz W126 is the best car of the 1980s.

Famous Mercedes-Benz W140. In accordance with the German laws the biggest model (600S) of this motor car had to be classified as a commercial vehicle because of its big mass.
